Primary qualifications: MBChB (Sheffield 1990), DRCOG, FRCGP

Dr Holdsworth trained at Sheffield University medical school, worked in Warwickshire and New South Wales in Australia before returning to Bristol (his hometown) to become a partner at Gloucester Road Medical Centre in 1997.

He has a clinical interest in Diabetes and is also a GP trainer, training GP registrars in the practice.

He has a special interest in communication skills and the management side of practice. He became Senior Partner in June 2020 and also works as a GP appraiser helping other doctors towards revalidation.
